Sam meets Maisy

Today, Samuel, Ose, & I, along with Jacob, Jennifer, & Jessica, went to our local Barnes & Noble for a chance to meet Maisy in person. Once there, Sam enjoyed looking at the live mice on display (on loan from the Pet Co. next door), listening to the Maisy book during story time, singing the ABC song, & climbing up & down on the stage. He had a great time playing with Jacob at the train set, as well as inspecting every inch of the children's section. However, Sam DID NOT enjoy meeting Maisy or having Jessica try to paint mouse whiskers on his face. By the time we made it to the restroom for a quick diaper change, all was forgotten, especially once he was allowed to pull some paper towels from the automatic paper towel dispenser. After saying goodbye to Maisy, we stopped for some lunch, then followed that up with a trip to the accessory store, where Sam & Jacob burned lots of energy playing on the stairs, rolling down the handicapped entrance, & running through the wide aisles. Sam says he had lots of fun today, although he would rather just read a Maisy book, instead of meeting her at the bookstore!
