Sam's day at home

Today, Samuel & I stayed at home with the intention of catching up on some projects while Samuel played with his new Christmas presents. However, that plan was altered somewhat since Sam decided he wasn't interested in playing with his toys. This morning, he played an intense game of peek-a-boo, hiding behind the curtains in our kitchen, then he moved into his bedroom, where discovered he could climb up on his basket of books, & inspect his mini-blinds. Once he was done with the window inspection, he moved into the living room where he climbed up & down on the step going up into the fireplace, paying special attention to the fireplace screen, & refusing to wear his left sock. After the fireplace climb was over, he only cried for a minute after I stopped him from turning over our large & heavy floor lamp. He then remembered we had a couch he could climb up on, so that stopped the tears. The last stop on his patrol was his new musical learning chair that Santa brought him for Christmas. Of course, all of this was accomplished before 11am. Sam says everyone should have a nice, relaxing day at home!
